Ruben Cordeiro

Rúben graduated from CESPU, Portugal in 2013, acquiring a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Since then he has worked within the sport, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy field.

In 2016 Ruben acquired a Master’s degree of Osteopathy from the Madrid School of Osteopathy. This has allowed him to adopt a more manual approach to his treatments which are central to his clinical work.

His usual treatment strategies involve manual therapy and dry-needling incorporated with proprioceptive stretching and strengthening exercises. Ruben always takes a holistic approach to address not only the injury but the causal factors to avoid re-injury in the long-term.

Ruben has also completed post graduate courses in Sports Osteopathy, Trigger Point Therapy and Dry needling, Acupuncture, Shockwave therapy and Kinesiotaping.

Laura Butterworth

Laura graduated from The University of East London in 1998, with a BSc(hons) in Physiotherapy. Following graduation Laura worked within the NHS, whilst also working in sport. After three years in the NHS Laura moved into private sector hospitals and subsequently into private practice.  Laura’s involvement in sport started primarily with rugby, for various clubs and invitational sides, as their pitch side and rehab therapist. During this time Laura also worked in cricket and golf. More recently Laura has been heavily involved working within the sport of Korfball. She currently works with Trojans korfball club, who are one of the highest ranked clubs in the country.

Laura’s approach to treatment is very hands on. She is primarily a manual therapist, utilising movement analysis, and exercise prescription. She is also trained in golf swing assessment, sports strapping and kinesiology taping

Laura has been lucky enough to have worked very closely with some of the country’s leading surgeons and sports physicians, especially during her time working in central London. For the past 15+ years Laura has been based in private practice in the Bromley area, which has enabled her to foster strong relationships with local surgeons and medical specialists. This has greatly enhanced her management of patients and their care. Laura is available from our Chislehurst site Mondays  to Thursdays.
